Dedicato alla Chitarra Jazz
Il Festival “New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz” promuove, in collaborazione con la rivista “Musica Jazz”, la terza edizione di Olimpico Jazz Contest (OJC), concorso musicale riservato a giovani solisti appartenenti all’Unione Europea, che si esprimano nei linguaggi di estrazione jazzistica.

Il 1923 è stato un anno generoso per la storia della chitarra jazz. In quell’anno nascevano infatti Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel, Chuck Wayne, Remo Palmieri; quasi doveroso quindi, per festeggiane un significativo centenario, dedicare questa edizione dell’Olimpico Jazz Contest alla chitarra.

Le selezioni 
Le iscrizioni sono terminate il 28 Febbraio 2023.

L’esito delle selezioni e dei candidati che si sfinderanno nella semifinale di mercoledì 10 maggio 2023, è stato posticipato al 31 marzo 2023 e sarà comunicato su questo sito nei giorni a seguire.

Dedicated to Jazz Guitar
The international jazz festival “New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz”, promotes the third edition of the Olimpico Jazz Contest (OJC), in partnership with the magazine “Musica Jazz”. The contest is open to young jazz soloists from the EU.

1923 was a generous year for the history of jazz guitar. In that year were born in fact Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel, Chuck Wayne, Remo Palmieri; almost due therefore, to celebrate a significant centenary, dedicate this edition of the Olympic Jazz Contest to the guitar.

The Selections

Registrations has been closed on February the 28th 2023.

The results of the selection process will be announced here (and directly to the selected musicians) starting from March 31st 2023.
